Official Judging Criteria

General Rules

  • Categories are divided into Junior (0–3 years of professional experience) and Expert (more than 3 years of experience).
  • Only the PMU and Microblading disciplines include both categories. All other disciplines are considered as a single category.
  • If other countries decide to introduce Junior categories for disciplines such as SMP, Areola, or others, these categories will not be eligible for the World Final.
  • In case of fraud or false declarations, the competitor will be disqualified.

Microblading

CriterionDescription
VisagismThe shape created on the model's face will be evaluated, focusing on the harmony achieved between the shape of the eyebrow arch and the model's distinctive facial features.
ShapeAssessment of the thickness, length, and proportions of the eyebrow arch based on the anatomy of the model's face.
Hair RealismThe harmony of the technique used in combining with the model's existing hairs and the correct arrangement of the light-dark areas of the eyebrows are assessed.
Hair StrokeEvaluation of the cleanliness, precision and elegance of the hairs traced.
SymmetryEvaluation of the participant's ability to correct the asymmetry of the eyebrow arch, respecting the anatomical characteristics of the model.
Depth of ActionThe presence of swellings, oedemas, pigment spots and overlapping hairs is assessed; the lower the presence of these signs, the higher the score.
Difficulty of TreatmentAssessment of the state of the model's skin and the difficulty of treating her skin type and the presence of natural hair pre-treatment.
Chosen ColourCorrect choice of colour according to the model's phototype.
Chosen TechniqueOverall assessment of the conformity of the technique and style used by the operator.
HygieneEvaluate the preparation of the operator workstation in compliance with hygiene regulations, the cleanliness of the workstation during the execution of the treatment, and the management of the treatment in compliance with hygiene regulations. This criterion will be assessed by the hygiene jury, the only one allowed to enter the room during the competition.

Hair Stroke

Lips

CriterionDescription

ContourThe uniformity of the contour is assessed, the intensity of the perimeter line must be equally saturated at each point.
Colour UniformityThe saturation of the treatment is assessed on the entire mucosa, which must be homogenous and free of discolouration.
Difficulty of TreatmentThe initial situation of the model, the skin on which the operator will perform the treatment and the complexity of the technique used will be assessed.

Shaded Eyeliner

VisagismIt will be assessed that the form performed on the model's eye can support this type of technique, which, on the whole, should add value to the look.
